Heroes (end of season 2)

Posted by erik on 29 Jun , 2008 in Public | 0 comments
Last night, me and my wife finished watching the end of the 2nd season of Heroes. We watched 4 episodes including the end of season episode. It’s really a shame that they had to finish and abort the season on episode 11, due to the writers strike. I felt that producers and the actors really tried to save the spirit of the show in the last episode, but the closure went way to fast and to many things felt untidy. It’s a shame. The only ray of hope, was to glimpse the opening of season 3 (aka Tome III “Villains”).

Another Weekend in the Alps

Posted by erik on 26 Feb , 2007 in Public | 0 comments
Well, I just spend another weekend in the alps. We spend three great days in a thermal therapy site in the heart of the Alps, in Ovronaz (Valais). While we where onsite, we enjoy some great thermal therapy, based on massages, hydromassages, warm stone therapy and watsu massage (Water-Shiatsu). The best and most enjoyable moment is always bathing in warm water and having snow drift down from the sky at...

Weekend in the Alps

Posted by erik on 15 Jan , 2007 in Public | 0 comments
Just spend the weekend in the Alps with a few friends from Geneva. The change of scenery was pleasant, yet there wasn’t enough snow to enjoy the ski slopes. Looks like a strange snowless winter so far.

2007 & The year of the Pig

Posted by erik on 1 Jan , 2007 in Public | 0 comments
Happy New Year 2007. The Christmas period and the days after them, where rather quiet, and we took our time to adapt and clean-up the flat. We took advantage of the R&R we earned during the course of 2006. This coming year will be very important for me and Jackie. In only three months we are expecting our family to grow by one member. We are very happy and looking forward to this coming event. 2007 is also the year of the Pig in the chinese horoscope. “The Pig is a fun and enlightening personality blessed with patience and understanding. People born under the sign of the Pig enjoy life...

Moving out after 11 years…

Posted by erik on 10 Dec , 2006 in Public, Technology | 0 comments
Well after 11 years (1996-2007) living at the same address by myself, I’ve finaly moved out… Earlier tonight I gave my last key set back to the landlord. It was with a tear in the eye that I drove off to my new accomodation. I’ve had some excellent times and will keep great memories from my appartment. The datacenter room (which took me a few days to empty, sort, purge and clean), the lounge with it’s huge beamer, where I watched so many films and TV series. The Great 2006 IT Purge… Most of my stuff has now been stored in a Maritime container for future use. I’ve now moved in with...

A new beginning…

Posted by erik on 1 Dec , 2006 in Public | 0 comments
Okay, this is my first test of using a blog. Yes, I haven’t used a blog until now, because… well I just didn’t take the time. Yet, I’ve been putting comments online on the Internet since 1991. It was first called the USENET, later I used a simple web site from 1995, and I moved to online rant’s (before the name weblog/blog was used) on this website. Now it’s time to embrace yet another change. Using a nice What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) style system to put my comments online. So this is a new experience for me. In the past, I never gave my readers the opportunity to reply to my...
