IP addresses -> names Options
Why does NT 3.5, not allow me to use internet names, I have to enter 111.123.2.2 instead of lcars.alpha.co.uk. Is there a name service I’ve missed out ?
PS I do not have the installation manuals, just a copy of the resource kit, borrowed from the library. Thanks, Erik Bussink
Word NT
I see the point of getting out a 32bit version of Excel, but what will be
the advantage of 32bit for Word (putting aside the marketing & sales causes)

Ways to Speed Up Windows 3.11
When I run my Wfw 3.11 without 32bit file access it works, but when I
switch it on, it hangs or bomb out. The last command written down in the
bootlog.txt is
Start mouse.drv
I tried the version 8.20 & 9.00 of mouse.drv. But even so I can’t get my
windows to work with 32b file access. My version of mouse.drv (8.20 & 9.00)
work fine, so what can you conclude ?
I uses a Buslogic BT-545S (ISA) card with a Seagate ST11200N drive.

Looking for Western Digital 90C033 drivers
I’ve got this Paradise/Western Digital VESA card with 1mb, but no drivers
where can I find some for this card ?
I already checked cica /pub/…drivers/video
Greg Fruik answred:
I got a 90c33 in my DX4 the drivers were dated 10-93. Looked all over for
new drivers and couldn’t find any. When I installed WinG10 it wouldn’t run
even though I was running win32s ver 1.2. Finally sprung for the phone call to
Western Digitals BBS in CA. Spent over an hour online and the drivers I got
are dated 1-10-94. Still doesn’t work. It looks to me like they have abandoned
this chip. Was updated in 3 Months and not since then. This was just last week
so I don’t think there are any new ones yet. The BBS # is (714) 753-1234. I
think the least they could do is get on the net like everyone else so we don’t
have to fork out for long distance charges. And they should get off there
asses and write something that works with Win32s and WinG.

Question about vxl-32 ram
I own a vxl-030 40mhz no-copro. The question is : Is 2mb 32bit memory
enough to use the system ? Does it leave some memory after the
ks 2.04 is copied in memory ? What would be the gain to have 8mb 32bit ?
IVS Trumpcard latest ROM version ?
This is my first and oldest entry that I can backtrace on the Internet. It dates from the 12th September 1991, during my first year at Brunel University. I was doing a IT placement at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in the UK.
I’ve got an IVS Trumpcard, which I bought in 1990. I used the small program
SCSI_LISTER and it told me, I’ve got the ROM version 1.3. Is there an higher
ROM version ? Does it support scsi direct ? what is the price ? and where can
I order it ? (Specially in the UK).
